“I spent some time with some orphaned elephants while up at Reteti in Kenya for the day. It was probably one of the most exceptional experiences of my life, it was so incredible to spend the day with these beautiful, beautiful animals.
I just had to capture these beautiful animals with my pheasant feather and ink. This portrait is of three siblings who have come together and are just a few of the elephants I saw at Reteti.
I’ve focused on the heads of these magnificent animals with their distinctive trunks and ears. The splashes and splatters are really deliberate to reflect the precise movements of these growing giants.”
