30×30cms canvas
The brilliant blue of the kingfisher makes it a particularly striking subject. I have used a combination of vibrant cobalt and deeper blue tones, balanced with flashes of orange and white, to bring definition to the feathers and capture the movement of the wings.
The natural linen background keeps the composition simple, allowing the colour and detail of the bird to stand out.
Painted in my signature style, this is an original work, created as a one-of-a-kind piece and never to be reproduced as a print.
