30×30cms canvas
I wanted to capture the agility and distinctive shape of the red squirrel in this piece. Its elongated form, russet coat and characterful tufted ears create a strong sense of movement, enhanced by the expressive strokes surrounding the figure.
Warm orange and copper tones run through the composition, with darker accents adding definition to the fur and tail. The neutral background keeps the focus on the squirrel itself.
Painted in my signature style, this is an original work, created as a one-of-a-kind piece and never to be reproduced as a print.
