30×30cms canvas
This painting is all about colour and form. The bee-eater's vivid blue body, golden throat and contrasting brown wings create a striking composition against the understated linen background.
I have used a combination of defined feather details and looser, more spontaneous marks to capture the bird in motion. The result is a contemporary interpretation of a beautifully coloured bird.
Painted in my signature style, this is an original work, created as a one-of-a-kind piece and never to be reproduced as a print.
